Description

Mix together a young woman about to inherit a great deal of money, an evil stepfather who wants it for himself, and a insane asylum where no one is crazy, and you the ingredients for a tragedy. Nancy is about to inherit a fortune and couldn’t be happier. But suddenly she is strapped into a straitjacket and hauled away to a terror-filled fake asylum for a lifetime sentence of continuous restraints, abuse and degradation.
The Bradford Institute is a sham. No patient there has mental problems, at least not beyond those caused by a daily life of constant restraints, nudity, sexual abuse and occasionally being punished just for the enjoyment of the staff. Money is paid to confine patients against their will, with freedom never to come, and torture the order of the day.

“Tell you what,” he leaned close to whisper in her ear. “I’ll let you take another shower before bedding you down.”
“That would be most appreciated,” she said. “How about untying my hands?”
“Don’t press your luck. You’re supposed to stay tied until bedtime. Rules, you know.”
“Fuck your…”
“Now, now, patient. Getting angry will only earn you punishment time. And so far, you’ve managed to avoid that. Although I don’t know how, what with you being so sarcastic and all.”
“Just get me to the shower. I’ve got to get this icky stuff off me.”
He did that, taking her back down to the basement and into the shower room. She turned around to offer her arms for untying. When she did not feel his hands on the ropes, she turned back around.
“You don’t expect me to shower without hands, do you?”
“Yep.”
“Bastard!”
That earned her a solid swat on the bottom. With her ass stinging from the blow, she went into the shower area. “You’ll have to turn the water on for me,” she said. “So long you’re not going to untie me.”
He did. But he also get the last laugh. He turned on only the cold water. Nancy squealed in distress when she felt that against her leg. “Damn you, James. Give me some hot water.”
“You’re already in hot water,” he pointed out. “Demanding from an orderly. Sarcastic remarks about the Institute. All could earn you punishment time.”
She looked at the cold water running down in front of her and sighed. But when the put her face into the stream, she uttered a few words that would surely earn her punishment time. As quickly as possible she let the running water clean her face off, then, with a big grimace, she did the same for her breasts.
“Damn, that’s cold,” was her remark after stepping away from the stream.
He turned it off and escorted her to the other part of the room. There he used a towel to remove the cold water from her face. And took delight in making sure every possible drop was removed from the breasts. Nancy looked to the ceiling in aspersion but said nothing.
Finally dry to James’ satisfaction, he led her out of the shower room.
“These ropes really are hurting me,” she told him, making an effort to keep sarcasm or any hint of rebuke out of her voice.
“I’m sure they are. And you would have been out of them by now if you hadn’t lingered in the shower.”
“Have I told you that you’re a… Oh, never mind.”
She was not led back to the padded cell. Instead she was taken up to the second floor and into a large room. James flipped on the lights and Nancy was shocked to see what the room contained: a dozen coffins!
Well, they looked like coffins to her. Each was set on a low table, about waist height at the top. Each was made of wood, had a lid and a handle. Just like coffins. But each also had a thick metal tube coming out of the floor and going into one end of the coffin.
“That’s to provide a flow of air through the bed,” he told her when he saw what she was looking at.
“Air? You don’t mean… Oh, no!”
“Oh, yes,” he said. “These three currently have patients sleeping them.” He pointed to three of them that had a small, red light on the handle. “At least I think they’re sleeping. Might just be mediating. That one there has Cindy in it.”
“What the hell is this?” she gasped. “Sleeping in a straightjacket in a padded room was bad enough, but in a coffin?”
“We do not call them coffins,” he informed. “They’re beds. Or boxes. And sleeping in one of the cells is only for newcomers and as a special treat now and then. If the Doc is pleased with you for some reason.”
She looked at the coffins, er, make that beds and felt sick inside. This just couldn’t be.
“Come here,” he said. “This one will be yours.”
It was the fourth one in the first row. James opened the lid and she gasped. Inside even resembled a coffin! It was padded and lined with what looked like velvet. Upon closer inspection, she saw that there were leather straps coming up through slits in the padding.
“Oh, no, you’re not going to get me in there. No way!”
“You don’t want me to use force, do you?” he asked reasonable. “If I have to, I’ll put you in there without untying your arms. Then I’ll guarantee that you’ll have a miserable night.”
She looked at him, remembered how strong he was, and how defenseless she was with her arms bound, and sighed.
Assuming that she was an intelligent woman and didn’t want to spend all night with her hands tied up above her shoulder blades, he turned her around and began working at the knots. It took a while for him to get all the ropes off, and then Nancy had to shake her hands to get them to wake up.
He waited patiently for her to finish before issuing orders. “Climb into the bed. Don’t make me force you, because I will. You can see from the indentations where your head and feet go. Lay down inside it.” As he orders her, he was pulling the straps out and laying them to the sides. He showed her a small wooden box that came out from under the table, indicating that she should step on that.
Nancy gingerly took the edge of the “bed” and lifted one leg over it. It was not too difficult to position her body within the indentation, but it made her terribly nervous. He might call it a bed, but to her if was a coffin. And people who go into coffins rarely come out.
The padding was comfortable, but that did nothing to relieve her nervousness. James stood by the side and directed where to put her arms and legs. Beginning with her waist, he buckled the first strap around her at the narrowest part of her waist. That strap did not go over her arms, which were lying alongside her body. The next strap was a small one and went around her left wrist. Then the one on her right wrist. In rapid order was the one above her left elbow, the right elbow, then one around her neck. That one bothered her more than the others. Moving to the bottom of the bed, he strapped in her ankles, above and below her knees, and one around her hips. Then he went back to her torso and buckled up the final two straps, the longest and widest ones. One went around her arms and body just above her breasts and the other just below.
With all those straps in place, he went back over them, tightening each one until she felt more restrained than she had in the straitjacket or the arm binder. She could maybe wiggle her toes and fingers, but that was all. Her head was supported on each side and that prevented her from turning it from side to side.
“Those across my chest are pretty tight. I might have trouble breathing,” she told him.
“You’ll be okay,” he assured. “I’ve put patients in these hundreds of times. Haven’t lost a patient yet.”
She didn’t share his smile at that little joke.
“As soon as I close the lid, the air will begin blowing from your head down to the foot of the bed. Don’t worry, it’s pretty much silent and won’t keep you from sleeping.”
He saw the worried look on her face and figured she was getting close to panicking. That sometimes happened to a new girl the first time that lid came down on them, locking them in the darkness and immobility.
“Just relax. You really aren’t in any danger. It’s just part of the Doc’s psychological games. He likes messing with your minds.”
“Please don’t leave me in here. I’ll be good. Just put me back in the cell. I don’t care how you tie me up or what. Just don’t leave me in here.”
Her eyes were wide with fear. He could have just closed the lid and let her work out her fears, but he liked this patient. She was the most intelligent one to come along in a long time. He even liked her sarcastic retorts. Was supposed to report any backtalk, but he didn’t in her case. He actually liked her. That she was one beautiful, sexy woman didn’t hurt either. So he left the lid open and talked with her for a while.
“You will get used to sleeping in here. Everyone does. It will be rare for you to sleep anywhere else.”
“For the rest of my life!”
He didn’t answer that. “It is actually comfortable in there. These were designed to be comfortable. Secure as hell, yes, but also comfortable.”
“If you call being totally unable to move as comfortable, sure.”
“You’ll get used to this. All the patients do. Okay, ready or not, I have to lock you in. I’ll see you in the morning.” Nancy had calmed down while talking, which is why James was so willing to tell her things he wasn’t supposed to talk about. She closed her eyes so she wouldn’t have to watch the lid coming down. But she could not shut out the sound of its lock clicking shut. She knew that, even if she were free of the straps, she probably couldn’t get out of that box.
She didn’t hear his footsteps on the wooden floor, so she figured the coffins were soundproofed. Which made sense considering that they didn’t want the patients talking to each other. She was not gagged, and could have called out if she thought Cindy or one of the others could hear her. She listened for a while but heard no one trying to call to her.
It was reassuring to feel a gentle breeze on her face. At least the air system worked.
Opening her eyes, she found herself in complete darkness. In that dark, she began testing the straps holding her down. It didn’t take long for her to realize that there was absolutely no way she would reach the buckles.
The next time I talk to James, she decided, I’ll try to bribe him to let me call my mother. I’ll tell him that I want to tell her not to worry about me. But what to bribe him with? In that place, she had no possessions. Well, that was not entirely true. She had her body. She’d bride him with all the sex he wanted. That idea made her laugh. Here she was, trying to bribe someone with something he could easily take any time he wanted.
She fell asleep thinking about what it would be like to have that nice James fucking her. With or without ropes and straitjacket on.
